The way I got into wedding photography was purely an accident. When my older sister got married, I voluntarily bought a Nikon D90 camera and told her I would help document everything behind-the-scenes for her. Little did I know that I would get hooked and come to love the sparkling chemistry between couples, as well as the love and support that the families and friends pour into helping them celebrate their special day. For me, photography was really love at first sight!
Fast forward to a few years later, where I had the opportunity to be mentored by a world-renowned photographer friend who was all about film, and especially focused on the timeless and luminous aesthetics of film imageries produced by the Contax 645. After that workshop, I was inspired to start shooting more film while at the same time, work on honing in on my skills in digital. Not a day goes by where I’m not humbled and appreciative of the possibilities and beauty that both film and digital media can bring, and I want to share that with all of you. This world is so beautiful in front of and behind the camera! It truly makes me appreciate life more and pay attention to the people, places, and things around me on a daily basis.
As someone who loves creating images that capture a story, my focus with my work is to bring people back to that very moment in time when they were being photographed, move their hearts, and help celebrate those dear to them. That, in my opinion, is how FOREVER should be.
